Hi I'm Ashley!!!!

I have 7 siblings, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, me being the fifth child of a wonderful family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Pocatello, Idaho, but moved to Arizona when I was a year old. I enjoy reading, writing, playing games with my family, hiking, swimming, camping, going on rollercoasters, and singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because it makes sense and invites you to ask questions. There was a point in my life, when I began to doubt, and so I decided to start at the basics. I prayed, asking if God was real, and I received a testimony of him, that he loves me and wants the best for me, which is why Jesus Christ came to this Earth, and atoned for my sins, so that everyone could come back to live with God again. Then I asked if Joseph Smith was a true prophet and again received confermation that not only him, but all of the prophets after him are true speakers for God, holding all keys of the preisthood. Next I asked if the Book of Mormon was true, and received a knowledge and truth that it is and that all the past prophets that helped write the books inside it are true. Then I asked if families really are forever, and if we can still be together after death, and I was assured that they were. I know that The church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is the true, restored gospel of Christ. I know that he loves me and wants the best of me. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins so that I can live with him again. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of the Lord and that he really did translate the Book Of Mormon and that through him all the keys of the preisthood were restored to the Earth. I know that the Book Of Mormon speaks nothing but truth, and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that there is a life after death and that if we live righteously our families can be together throughout the eternities.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by: reading the scriptures, sharing my testimony, dressing modestly, being honest, not swearing or using bad language, by keeping my promises, and trying to live the way that Christ did.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a spiritual witness given to an individual by the Holy Ghost. The foundation of a Mormon's testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves us; that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lives and that he carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a prophet, which God called to restore Jesus Christ's church to the Earth; that we are led today by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and that he receives knowledge to lead and direct the whole Earth the way that God would want it; and that The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Savior's Church restored on the Earth today.
