Hi I'm Barbara

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Barbara, I like to paint, especially ocean scenes, I like to travel and to go museums. I have a sense of humor, I love children and I really, really love CHOCOLATE. I am the second of five girls. My father was a 22 year Navy man.....and my husband a 22 year Army man, so I have had many opportunities to travel. I am a gardener want-be, someday I'll conquer. As a little girl I wanted to be a good person, approved of by God. Soon I found out that "I have agency". From then on I prayed that God would make me good. But learned that if I wanted to be a good person I would have to make good choices. God would not make me be good. When I was a teenager I knew there had to be more. I asked God what is it and where can I find it. The answer didn't come until much later.

Why I am a Mormon

I met two Mormon ladies. I was impressed when I met their families. I wanted my family life to be like theirs. Shortly I was introduced to two Mormon Missionaries. Everything they were teaching me rang so true and answered many of my unanswered questions. I was baptized along with three of the four children still at home. Me being the youngest would have to wait until I turned eight.

How I live my faith

I believe in Christ and want to do those things that would make me more like him. I have served three missions, two overseas and one in Illinois. I am still active in the church today and would love to serve more mission. I try to be kind, helpful and courteous to everyone. I am shy but can still smile and say "hello". I am blessed. I am happy. And I am a Mormon.
