Hi I'm Debbie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the Church with my family as a youth. My greatest desire was to attend Brigham Young University, which I loved. I graduated and married a wonderful young man. We then went on to graduated school and then started our family. We have five wonderful children, three of whom are married, and have nearly four grandchildren. We were most privileged to serve a mission together in the Missouri St. Louis Mission, and became involved in the lives of 417 missionaries. We now have a son on a mission, who is having the time of his life!

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints represents all that is good in the world. It is the same church that Jesus Christ organized when he lived on the earth, restored in 1830 through Joseph Smith. I have had many witnesses to my mind and heart that this is true. I am blessed every day because of my membership in this church.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently teaching 16 high school freshmen the Old Testament in early morning seminary. They come every school day from 6-7 am and we have great discussions of their potential and the events that shaped our world.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Debbie
My family is my safe place in life. I love to be with the people who care about me and whom I love. I want to live with them forever. My husband and children are the ones that motivate me to make a beautiful home. My parents are the ones that taught me my intrinsic worth. My sisters are my best friends. I love my grandparents and miss them. Show more Show less
