Hi I'm Rosa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Rosa from Ecuador. I'm married to Francisco from Mexico and I have two beautiful daughters born in the United States. I like to say that we are an EcuaMexAmerican family. I've been living in this country for about 37 years. Presently I'm working for the school district as an educational Aide. I love been the "Aide" because I have the opportunity to work with children in small groups and sometimes one on one to help them improve in skill they are having trouble with. My favorite grade level is Kindergarten. Many times I get students with no knowledge and they finish their school year reading, adding and subtracting and this is my biggest reward. I love my daughters. They are active, in school, sport and community. They love doing fund raising to help others.

Why I am a Mormon

As a little girl I went to the church of the faith I was raised in but, always came home with a feeling of something is missing. I grew to be a mom feeling like that until I mentioned it to my husband and soon he brought a missionary to our home. He apologized for coming alone but he felt the spirit so strong telling him that he should come. Well he was really spiritual because with that only visit my heart was not feeling empty any more. Then I Knew without any doubt that this was the truth and accepted to take lesson and to be baptized. I've been a Mormon since 1993.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. Through the organizations in the church I've been able to serve the Lord by serving the community by keeping the streets clean. I love visiting the sisters at least once a month to show my love for them. I love to help the young sisters plan fund raising for girls camp. Teaching makes me a little nervous but I enjoy doing it. Best of all I love to attend to all kind of activities because I know that I will learn something new and the knowledge I acquired I will share it with others. When my van was in good conditions I loved to take the sisters to the temple. I'm thankful to my Heavenly Father for my 90 years old friend that goes with me to the temple so I will not go alone and together we have fun shopping for emergency preparedness.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No matter the faith, we are all children of our Heavenly Father and we must all help each other. Love one another. Show more Show less
