Hi I'm Summer

I'm 24. I have 2 kids, I am finishing up my bachelor's degree and I own paint your own pottery studio. Oh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Texas. I love everything about it. The howdy y'alls, the random weather, the heat, the pride, the food, and even the long drives to get ANYWHERE. I am a student in college and will graduate in December of 2012. I have two beautiful children and have been a mom and wife for 4 years. I own a Ceramics Painting studio that is my passion and love. It is such a blast to turn something plain into something beautiful, which is the way I believe beauty is created.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church. I love the emphasis that is on the family as a whole. Call me a romantic, but I love having a forever, an always and an eternity. It became even more real when I met my husband and things just clicked. Bad and good experiences were all in place to make me that person that I am today. Without my family, I couldn't have survived some of those experiences. Which brings me back to the church...If I didn't believe in my family and the wonderful gorgeous bond that is sometimes difficult to maintain (like all relationships) I have a feeling I would be lost. And angry. In my belief of stability and families, I find peace and contentment in trusting my husband and that my father above will take care of me. It may not be on my time frame, but hey, eternity is a long time!

How I live my faith

I enjoy going to church and church activities. Not only do I get to socialize, I always leave with a great message that warms my soul! I really enjoy that I get the opportunity to reach out and check in with my special ladies as I like to call them. It's great because we may never have had the opportunity become friends on our own, but now my friend base increases one by one!

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No! At some times during history the lord commanded His people to practice plural marriage, but those who entered into those marriages were authorized and regulated by the church. We believe in monogamy unless he commands otherwise. Show more Show less
