Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon and I like to fish.

About Me

I grew up in a rural farming community with a large family where we learned to work. I graduated from college with a degree in Chemical Engineering. I'm married and have a great family. What do I love to do? Outside of spending time with my family I love to go flyfishing. My favorite fish to catch, a beautiful steelhead caught on a swung fly. Flyfishing is a great way to be outside, relax and enjoy this incredible world God has created. The last fish I caught? A Hawaiian bonefish I caught while on a trip to take my oldest child to college in Hawaii. I'm looking forward to catching another (and visiting my daughter, otherwise I wouldn't be going). My family also likes to camp, hike and spend time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, because I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, my Savior and Redeemer and that God loves me and is my Heavenly Father. The Holy Ghost has touched my heart, given me a love for God and His Son and has told me they love me. This same Spirit has touched my heart and told me that the Book of Mormon is scripture. It has strengthened my testimony and love for my Savior. This same Spirit has also given me a testimony that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is the Lord's church and lead by Him. Living as a Mormon has made me happier then I thought I could be.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy helping others at church. I have taught youth Sunday School, worked in Scouting and made some great friends. I have also been taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and how to be a better father and husband. I have a place where I belong!
