Hi I'm Cedar Donaldson

I've lived in the same small town all my life. I am the 2nd youngest of 7 with 2 amazing parents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in High School with huge plans for my future. I play on my high school soccer team and i couldn't be happier. I have great friends who keep me on the right track and pick me up when I'm feeling down. I love to read and i love animals. I have 4 horses, 2 dogs, 16 chickens, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. At school, I was in choir, because i love to sing, but I decided to switch out and take sculpture and ceramics. It's the best class for me. I like to let my creative side through by drawing, sculpting, and even writing. Right now my friend is helping me write a book of my own. Someday, i really would like to become a published author. I may be a small town girl, but i want to get my name out there :D

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by LDS parents and have chosen, by myself, to be a member of this church. When i was 8, i had the choice to be baptised, and i can't even think of myself contmplating saying no. Over the years, i have gained a greater understaning and testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my religion simililar to most people. I live my own standards that i have set, and i go to church every Sunday. Some people think that we live very restricted lives because we don't do a lot of things. But i have made my own descisions of what to do or not to do. For example, i don't drink any soda with caffiene. Not because someone else has told me not to, but because i know it is better for my own health.

What is faith?

Cedar Donaldson
We have a song that we learn when we are younger (before teens). the lyrics go something like this: Faith is like a little seed, If planted it will grow. Faith is a swelling with in my heart, When i do right i know. To me, faith is believing without seeing. I have not seen Jesus Christ, but i know he lives, and i know he cares for me. I have faith in Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Cedar Donaldson
In life, you know when things are true or when someone is telling a lie. or, you do research to find out if it is or not. When people investigate, i think they simply feel of the rightness of this gospel. they know it's right, and they want to be a part of it. We teach values and goals as a church that are a steadfast foundation for us as we are on the Earth. There are so many bad things that you need something to help you. we can't do it on our own. we need a plan. This church provides a plan and a means of fulfilling it. People can't help but want this and good things for their lives. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Cedar Donaldson
i don't need much to tell me that there is a God. The very air i breath and ground i walk on proves to me that he is there. I think the best thing that God has given us that we can use to know he is there is rainbows. In the Bible, He uses the rainbow to promise Noah that he will not flood the world again. And although science shows a lot of things, i think all things point to our Heavenly Father. My seminary teacher plays this game with us called "types and shadows." In this game he find how an everyday object points to Heavenly Father and Christ. For example, a dollar. I think that a dollar is like prayer. when you need something from the store, you take a dollar bill. When you need something spiritually, you pray. I know that you can do this with any object. And it all points to Christ. Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Cedar Donaldson
Churches are a place of worship, therefore anyone may enter. It is a place where we and others can meet. The temple is a sacred place where holy covenants are made. Because it is a sacred place only pure things should enter it. This includes physically and spiritually clean. We call it "being worthy". Any one can enter a church because it is a place where you can ask for forgiveness and set goals. You enter the temple when you have been forgiven and have reached your goals. Show more Show less
