Hi I'm Jill

I'm an easy-going wife and mother of 4. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to get encompassed in a good book. I really like to dance and drive fast. I wish I were better at singing, playing the piano, photography and crotchet. I work on them as I can. I like to go for long walks with my husband (especially on the beach or in the mountains) and sit on the front porch. There is nothing like a good Sunday drive, especially on a motorcycle, or even a good Sunday nap. I love to play with my kids and tease them because they are just plain fun. I do not like to cook. I would really like to try and learn new things like skateboarding, different languages, woodworking, natural health, surfing, gardening, etc. (the list is long). I am not a good communicator and a pretty shy person generally. I love to travel. And I like to watch movies with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe all religious faiths that teach of Jesus Christ and how to be good, moral, honest and serviceable people are worthwhile and have parts of the truth. But I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or Mormon faith) is the only faith that has the whole truth. It is the same church that Christ established when he was here on the earth. He restored it again to the earth in these last days because He loves us. This is His church and He leads us through a living prophet, just as He did in the days of Adam, Moses, Abraham and so on. I know this because I have prayed to find out for myself if these things were true or not and felt the unmistakable comfort and peace of the Spirit testify to me that they are true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. Some days are better than others, just like everyone. I pray, sometimes all day long and sometimes not so much. I love to read the scriptures and attend my church meetings. I have had the privilege of serving just about every age group in the church that there is. I have worked with the 18 months – 3 year olds, the 3-12 year olds, the 12-18 year old girls, and now I get to work with the 18 - ??? women. I believe that if Jesus Christ were here he would be a loving and kind friend to everyone, treat them with respect and try to help them with whatever they needed. I know he would want us to do the same for each other and so I try to be friendly and kind to neighbors and friends; loving, supportive, and patient with my family; and serve whenever I find a need. I am not perfect and like I said before, some days are better than others, but I will just keep trying.
