Hi I'm Andrea

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a small town far away from a large city. You have to make your own entertainment and be creative. I love being involved. I currently coach volleyball and love it! I help the community, schools and little league by being on advisory councils. I enjoy knowing what is going on and helping better the world for our children. I also own my own floral business, teach piano and 4-H. I volunteer and occasionally substitute teach at our children's schools. I feel it is important to know the kids who influence your children and be able to give them opportunities to learn and better themselves. That is my goal as a mother. To do this I need to continually learn and better myself as well. The best way I know to better myself is to get to know our Savior and try to be like Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I wasn't always so excited about it. My parents always took us to church, it was just what we did. I was challenged to gain my own testimony. I prayed and prayed, and my answer came. It was a very clear thought "you know that you know". That was so powerful to me. Yes, I did know that it was true. I learned every time I went to church, every time I studied the scriptures, every time I prayed and every time the Lord helped me in my life. I can look back and see how the Lord guided me, put people in my path to direct me and gave me direct revelation on what I should do. My mother calls it "micro-managing". I know we have the right to choose what we do, but our Heavenly Father wants us to return to Him so he tries to help us by placing a thought in our minds or a person to give friendly advice. It is comforting to know that you have someone on your side trying to help you choose the right who knows everything about you.

How I live my faith

I don't do anything amaing. I simply do my best to make good choices and serve and love others. In church I currently teach the children ages 1 1/2 to 11 music. I love music and I love children. What a perfect combination! I get to teach important gospel topics through music. Topics such as, I am a Child of God, how my body is a gift from our Heavenly Father and we should take good care of it, love others, serve, pray, families can live together forever, ancestors are important, learn from good examples in the scriptures, have faith and enjoy life. I love these kids. I can feel their sweet spirits when they sing. Most Sundays when we sing they give me goose bumps. I learn so much from them. When I look back on my youth I remember many songs and they helped my testimony grow. Certain songs also came to my mind when I was trying to make decisions in life or even when I had a bad thought, I'd start singing a favorite song to clear my mind. I also get to visit some sisters at least every month. Some of them do not go to church so my visit with them is the only gospel related topic they ususally get. I have learned you love those you serve and I truely love these sisters. We all have difficulties in life. It helps to talk to those who have similiar issues and can help you through.
