Hi I'm Marian Herman

I grew up in Southern California where I married my wonderful husband.

About Me

I have always liked sewing, knitting, crocheting and other crafts.I have loved making things for my children. I enjoy cooking and also like to travel although I haven't been able to do a lot of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I met the missionaries when I was about 28 and had tried to find a church that had the same teachings that I felt in my heart. One of the important things was eternal family. When the missionaries taught us about being able to have our family be eternal, I prayed about and new this was true and as we continued to learn about the church I came to know it was indeed the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so very grateful to be a member of the church and have been so very blessed with the gospel in my life. No matter what has happened in my life I have the firm testimony that I can return to my Heavenly Father and that I will be reunited with my family that passed on before me.

How I live my faith

I am currently the president of our women's organization at church. This gives me the opportunity to serve others in many ways and I love to have be able to do this. Through our women's group we make things for people that have needs such as baby clothes, blankets, and kits for personal needs. I have opportunities to teach and to help other come closer to the Savior. The great thing about that is that I also learn so much and grow closer to the Lord myself. I also work full time. Another opportunity I have is to serve in the temple where I can assist other to receive wonderful blessings there. I love working there as in His house I feel a peace that cannot be felt outside of the temple.
