Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a mom, photographer, DIYer, world traveler and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, homemaker and lover of life! My husband and I had the opportunity to travel quite a bit throughout the states and overseas before we started having kids and it was such a great experience. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do - especially with my husband. I love the new cultures, people, languages, food, markets, the new exciting adventures and everything that it entails. It's always fun to see a new place or revisit a favorite one from years past. For me it never gets old and I'm so excited to share these experiences with our kids. I am an avid photographer. I am always searching for a great new recipe, I enjoy reading, doing stained glass projects and I love any activity that involves being out doors. Rain, snow or sunshine it doesn't matter - I love being outside. I love creating new things or refurbishing old things to give them new purpose. But mostly I love playing and spending time with my family and our kids. They are my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the LDS faith and have grown to love the Savior and His Church throughout my life. I have always believed that this is the Lord's true church and have come to know that it is through personal scripture study and prayer. There is no doubt in my mind about it. I know that the Gospel has been restored in these Latter Days and that this is the Lord's church. I am grateful for a living prophet and his guidance today. I know that he is called of God. I know that the Savior lives and that He suffered much for me and for that I am grateful. I love Him with all my heart. I know this Gospel is true. I know our Savior will come again and I await that day with great anticipation and gladness.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in a way where I can always have the Holy Spirit with me. I need his guidance and his constant companionship every single day. I teach our kids about the Savior and we sing primary songs every night. They love them. For me it's important to be able to live my life in a way where people notice that I'm different in a good way and they want to know why. I do my best to answer those questions when the time comes. I try and look for opportunities to serve others – whether they're members of our faith or not. I believe that it is through pure and honest service where you come to really know and love those you serve. The Savior was a perfect example of this and He is who I'm trying to emulate.
