Hi I'm Rhonda

I was Miss Arizona 1984, I work with international corporate transferees. I have five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love donating my time to the Miss America organization. Where else in the world can you find such well rounded young women who are donating there time and energy to helping others and being the best they can be? I am the judges chairman and have the best job. Giving service is what it's all about. I have the coolest job in the world helping international transferees move to Arizona. I meet such interesting people and feel that I have friends all over the world. Being a wife and mother and handling my volunteer work, my job, my church callings and my family is challenging but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a mormon. Knowing that my family can be together forever is the greatest comfort in my life. My grandmother did not beleive that there is an afterlife and therefore death was devistating for her. How comforting it is to know that we have a loving heavenly father who wants us to return to him and be with our families forever. My testimony is that Heavenly Father and Jesus love us and want us to be happy. Of course we'll have trials and these are the times that we grow, but we are never left alone. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and I love it!

How I live my faith

In the Church I have two callings, I work with the 16-17 year old young women. I teach them lessons on Sunday to help them prepare for college life, work, and eventually marraige. I stress to them how important it is to find a worthy young man who has the same goals and desires as they do that can take them to the temple to be married for eternity. Marraige is hard enough, but it you have the goal of staying married forever and similar desires, then life can be much easier. I also organize large activities for the members in my area. By planning parties where all of us can enjoy each other's company as well as bring our friends and neighbors, helps us to feel unified and happy. My main responsibility is raising my children to believe in God and live a Christ like life. My husband is an important part of my life as well. I plan on being with him forever, and so it is important to keep our love alive. By planning time for each other and putting each others needs first, we can stay firm in our relationship and not lose touch of our ultimate goals.
