Hi I'm Bo

I grew up in the mountains of Arizona and enjoy working with my hands.

About Me

I enjoy figuring out how things work. I am mechanically minded. I also enjoy finding beauty in nature and enjoying outdoor activities. Growing up I was very athletic in sports. I was injured and that changed my perspective on life which caused me to look introspectively and figure out what matters most in life. That was when my faith grew as I began studying the scriptures and attending church. As time passed it became very clear to me through answers to heart felt prayers that I should serve a mission. I served a mission in norther California for two years where my faith grew exponentially. Shortly after my return home I visited my brother living in Colorado where I met and later married my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

As I studied the scriptures and began to live by the teachings therein, I began to feel a closeness to the Spirit and to the Lord. This caused me to have a great desire to become even closer, so I decided I would give up many things in my life that were keeping a gap between myself and God. It was a difficult thing to do. Some of the changes weren't easy. I found that they were worth it though. The doctrines taught in the LDS church made sense to me and I had learned many of them through the scriptures. I learned through my experiences that they were doctrines of truth. I felt like a scientist discovering something for the first time. It was wonderful! I think the greatest thing that happened though was that I built a relationship with God and His Son. I felt the grace of my Savior and light and love of his Spirit change me into a different person; someone I liked, someone I wanted to be. I now continue to attend church and study the scriptures and the gospel so that I may continue to built upon the relationship I share with God. I have come to know Him as my Father. I have come to know His Son as my Savior. I have felt uplifted and buoyed up by the Holy Spirit. I know I am loved by God and I have a great love for Him.

How I live my faith

I now participate in church by serving among the men my age and a little older than myself. I also help serve the congregation by participating in the sacrament where blessed bread and water are passed to the people. I enjoy attending bar-b-ques for our congregation, fairs, etc. and helping in any way I can there and also socializing. I have been fortunate to help serve in the community alongside people of my ward where we have cleaned up parks and helped serve meals to the homeless. I have always felt the love of God working through me while I perform these activities.
