Hi I'm Jackson

I'm in robotics club. I'm a skateboarder. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of five kids. I've lived in Arizona for the majority of my life, so I tend to do things that keep me cool (swimming, eating ice cream, staying inside, etc.). I am going to attend BYU and plan on majoring in astrophysics. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as unicycling and watching movies. I have been called to serve in the Peru Cusco mission to share my beliefs about Jesus Christ with the people there in the Spanish language.

Why I am a Mormon

Whenever I go to church I always feel a peace and happiness that I can't feel in other places. However, when I really knew it was true was when I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. Heavenly Father answered my prayers, confirming to me that this is true. Jesus Christ really did atone for our sins, and make it possible for us to be perfect even though we all make mistakes. God loves all of us, and has given us prophets in biblical times and now to guide us to follow Jesus's example more closely. This is the true church, and by living the commandments I have been able to see the blessings I have received in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day by following Christ's example and by keeping the commandments that he has set for us, like attending church, praying, and reading my scriptures. At church, I teach the 11 and 12 year olds about the Old Testament. It's awesome to see them as they learn about the people who lived thousands of years ago! I also live my faith by serving whenever I can, as well as accepting the call from a modern-day prophet to serve a mission to Peru.
