Hi I'm Kevin Noland

I'm a Mormon. Along with being a local business man in my community, I am a High School Football Official.

About Me

I am a father of 7 children. My wife and I run a service related business. I officiate High School Football. I enjoy the interaction with young people striving for great things, and I find that in sports. In my profession, we respond to homes affected by disasters. I enjoy stepping in and restoring the peoples peace of mind, and put their way of life back in order. I find that the things I do, help me to love my fellow man. I have been taught to learn to love others by serving them, and that is why I am happy with my job, and my hobby as a football official. As a High School Football official, I find great rewards by watching young people strive for greatness. I find team work, and competition help hone ones skills. Much like other facets of life, and athlete needs to train, and focus with his mind, might and strength to perform at his task. Added to the light of the Gospel, we too must focus on Christ, and live his laws. We must spiritually train, and follow the rules/laws that we have in order to find success and happiness in our lives.. On a football field, success is defined as winning, or scoring, or performing well on defense. In life, success is defined by being happy and earning a heavenly reward..

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon home. I listened to the things my parents taught, and listened to the things taught at church as well. I reached a point in life, somewhere around my senior year in high school when I realized I needed to come up with a plan for life. I needed to know who I was, and what I was going to become. This caused me to reflect and look at others around me. I knew I would have a choice to go to college, work, join the military, or serve a mission. I did not have a road map, nor did I have a list of priorities. I decided to find out first things first. My parents taught me well, and I was a happy kid, with no real problems in life. I reflected on my good fortune thus far and realized these were blessings form my Heavenly Father. I knew that, but I did not honestly know if the things I read in the scripture, or the teachings of the Mormon Church was true.. In the Book of Mormon, there is a passage of scripture that teaches how we can know, it teaches what we can do to find out that these things are indeed true. Search, Ponder, and Pray. Those things I did. I found a love from my Savior that I did not know was there. I found a love from my Father in Heaven that I did not know was there. My life has been greatly blessed, and richly improved because of the knowledge I received from a witness to my mind and heart of the Holy Ghost, the testator of truth.

How I live my faith

Daily I live the things taught by the savior. His teachings to love God, and love your neighbor are somethings I strive for each day. In my profession, I daily have an opportunity to brighten someones day. I get called in to disaster situations that leave people with emotional distress. We restore life as it once was before disaster struck. Through this process, we get to know the families of whose homes we work. Often we are left with opportunity to share our love of the Gospel, and the Savior. At the time of baptism I realized the covenants made to comfort those in need of comfort, mourn with those who mourn, and stand as a witness of God in all things, and in all places. I feel fortunate that I am given an opportunity to physically, and spiritually help those around me in my community that are struggling with life problems.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Kevin Noland
It is a great reward to help those in need. In the words of an ancient prophet on the American continent, "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, you are in the service of your God." We are all brothers and sisters from the same loving heavenly Father, so it would make sense to give to those in need. I enjoy helping others and watching the change occur in their lives.
