Hi I'm Carol

I grew up in Prescott, AZ. I taught physical education and I love sports. I am a Mormon

About Me

I love family and friends and chocolate. I play a little golf and tennis and I really like to play Scrabble. Reading, quilting and traveling to California to see grandchildren is high on my list of fun things to do. One time I was on the television game show, Wheel of Fortune.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Baptist family who went to Sunday School every Sunday morning. When I was a freshman in high school I met Mormon friends who invited me to their church activities. The missionaries taught me about the Mormon church and I believed what they taught me was true; it just seemed to make since to me. I was baptized when I was 15 and I am now 66 and still the only Mormon in my family. I know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and I know that He sacrificed His only begotten son, Jesus, so that we can have a way to be forgiven of our sins and thus be able to return to Him. I'm so thankful for Him and for Jesus, our Savior.

How I live my faith

Church is all important to me; it has been a wonderful vehicle for helping us to raise our three children and instill in them high moral values. I have been the young woman's president and the woman's president at different times and I now enjoy teaching the eight year old boys and girls. One of my favorite callings was that of compassionate service leader. We enjoyed visiting the woman and tried hard to be aware of their needs and then organize ways to meet those needs. It always feels great when we are serving. I'm not always successful, but my goal is to read the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father each day. I'm thankful that fifty-one years ago I chose to become a Mormon: I've tried to keep the commandments and live as Jesus would want me to live so that some day I can return to live with Him.
