Hi I'm Karen

I'm a farm/city girl from AZ, I also lived in Odessa,Tx. I am a mom, sister, daughter, friend, neighbor, volunteer, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to four kids and wife to a wonderful man, that keep me busy. Between carpools, homework, lessons and sports, I try and make time for a little of my own adventures. I love to read and try new things. My adventures have been belly dancing, trapeze flying, and snorkeling. My newest adventure is becoming PADI Scuba certified. The last few years I have enjoyed working in and eating from our small backyard garden. I have the goal in life to be organized, this does not come naturally to me. I love spending time with family and friends. I love having 2 sons and 2 daughters. I get to play with bugs and critters and fix hair and do nails.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I have been the only member of the church in my school class and also one of many in my class. I have always believed that I am a child of God and that He loves me. I know that there is peace in following our Savior. I am a great believer in learning from others mistakes, instead of following their mistakes. I have seen the sorrow that comes from a lack of faith in God and Jesus Christ. I know that he gives me trials to overcome, so that I will draw closer to him and rely on him. The Scriptures, both the Book of Mormon and the Bible, have been great sources of guidance and comfort to me. I also LOVE the hymns and the Primary songs. I feel the spirit very strongly through singing and listening to them. There are times that I am struggling and I know that the only one that I can turn to that will truly understand and be able to help me is Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for this knowledge. He is there for me and He LIVES, what a great blessing. I know that I will always be indebted to Him, and I love trying to repay that debt in service to others.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by showing and teaching my children to love others and serve others. I want them to see that this is where real happiness comes from in life. I love volunteering at my children's school and getting to know and work with all kinds of different people. Right now I serve in our church's women's organization. I love visiting with and helping the women. One of We have amazing ladies from the age of 18 all of the way to their 90's. At other times I have been a cub scout leader, helping teach the 8 year old boys, or a leader helping the 12 and 13 year old girls. I love that The Lord finds places for me to serve that will help me grow and stretch as a person.
