Hi I'm Lisa

I love my family, being a grandma, lunch with friends, breast cancer survior and I am a mormon

About Me

I grew up in Utah. I married my high school sweetheart after he returned from serving a mission for the Church. Soon started a family. We have 3 girls and 1 son and now are the proud grandparents of 6. With my husbands job we had the opportunity to live in several states across the country and enjoyed each one. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been a huge strength to me as we moved around. I knew the Church would be the same in each of the cities that we lived. I knew that I would have a support group waiting to welcome our family. That Heavenly Father would watch over us where ever we were living and He did this through wonderful friends and leaders. When I found out I had breast cancer, our son had just returned home from serving a mission and our daughter had just gotten married and my husband and I had just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Life was good. Cancer was something I wasn't even thinking about. It was a scary time but I felt the Lords hands guilding me from the very first day. I knew that He loved me and with His help, I would get through this. He surrounded me angels to watch and care for me ( my wonderful family and friends) I could feel everyone prayers and love for me. I knew that my Heavenly Father loved me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church. My parents didn't always attend so I started going with my neighbor. Having the Gospel in my life has given me strength to keep going because sometimes life gets hard. It helps me see the big picture, and whats really important. I know why we are here and where we are going after this life. Raising a family can be hard. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me guidelines and support of others who care for your children. We are there to help each other. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me. I know that he listens to my prayers and is there to help me when ever I ask. I love having a Prophet today to guide us on this earth. The Gospel gives me peace and hope for the future.

How I live my faith

I try to be kind to everyone. Set a good example of how Christ would want me to live. I love doing service for others. I work with the children of our Church, they are so sweet. They teach me how I should treat others. They are wonderful examples to follow. I love visiting teaching and visiting with the ladies. It's nice to know that there are people out there who really care about you and would help you with whatever you need help with.
