Hi I'm Jenni

I grew up in Washington State. My family is the most important part of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the wife of a hardworking man and the mother of four wonderful children ranging in age from 9 to 14. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, but enjoy being by myself sometimes as well. I like to volunteer at my kids' schools and at their sporting events. I like to scrapbook when I have time and I'm an avid reader. I married young and hope to travel a lot with my husband when our kids are off enjoying their own lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church and had an okay testimony, I leaned more on my parents testimony than I did on mine, but after marrying a nonmember who had such different outlooks on life I knew I wanted to raise our children in the Church. Sometimes it's difficult, especially when the kids were younger, because I have almost no support from my husband in any "church thing", but I do it because as my kids have grown so has my testimony. When I pray to my Father in Heaven I feel his love for me, and I know he gives me strength to face the unique challenges that I have being in a part member family. My Heavenly Father loves me and the love and support I receive from the other members of his Church fill my life with light. I love the Church and I have come to see just how true it is every time I open my scriptures, say my prayers, go to church or go to the temple. The Gospel is true. It's Christ's church and he wants all of us to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity to work with the children in my ward. I am in the presidency of the Primary and we get work with and teach the children ages 18 months to 12 years old. It's a fun calling and I get to work with some amazing men and women, and watching the children testimonies grow is incredible. I also get to visit with a small group of women every month in their homes to see how they are doing and if there is anything I can do for them. It gives me a chance to visit with women outside of Sunday and get to know them in a way that I might otherwise not be able to. I enjoy volunteering at my kids' school and getting to know new people and I try to remember that not only do I represent my family and the Church, I also represent Christ, and I want to treat everyone the same way Christ would.
