Hi I'm JoAnn Perza

I live in the United States of America. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children. All are grown up and living on their own now, so we have an empty nest, so to speak. I am a grandmother of 3 soon to be 4. I love to fix healthy meals and enjoy walks in the cool breeze with my husband. My passion is music. I love to create songs and write lyrics/poetry. I love that it can change others hearts and minds when they are touched by beautiful notes and words. I also love to help people relax and feel better. I am a certified massage therapist. I also am a Den leader for the Bear Cub scout group in our area.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 3 years old when my mother joined the church. I loved primary with all of my heart. I loved the music and the tender moments that I listened to lessons and the Holy Ghost touched my mind and heart. I felt the Lord's spirit warm my soul many times growing up, yet as a young women, I came into the experience of opposition. Friends not of my faith wanted me to question why I was a member of our church. They shared many things with me that were difficult and hard to hear and accept. My faith was being questioned and it hurt. I will never forget the evening when my heart was broken. At 17 it seemed like my world was changing so rapidly. Many of my faithful friends and I were struggling with preparations for future schooling, boyfriends and a list of crazy events were preceding my Senior year of high school. My parents wanted me to break up with a boy I had been dating, reminding me that I was so very young. Now I see it, of course, than I thought I was so very grown up. After one night of serious arguing, I went into my room crying.....praying and hoping for understanding. I remember being angry and so frustrated. As I prayed the Lord gave me peace. He let me have an experience that will forever be imprinted in my mind. I have no doubts about who I am or whether or not the gospel of Jesus Christ exists in our church or not. I know that what I believe to be true really is. It is true! All of it. Prayers can be answered when we are sincere in our request, answers come. It did for me and it will for you. Trust in our Father in Heaven. Ask Him and be sincere. Letting go of my pride

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend. I live my faith by serving in my church as a visiting teacher where I have gained awesome friendships with some of the sweetest ladies I have ever known, I serve as a missionary in our ward, and in my community as a Den leader in cub scouts as a Bear Leader.
