Hi I'm Deanna

I'm a read-a-holic. I'm a desert rat. I love to be spontaneous. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 8 children and love having that many brothers and sisters. I was able to serve a mission to Costa Rica and grew to love the people there. I am a single adult who loves sharing time with family, friends, and anyone who crosses my path. I am a native of Arizona and absolutely love it here! There is just something I love about the desert. I love to see the desert in bloom and especially love the way it smells after a warm summer rain. I am a readaholic and read whenever I have the opportunity. For that short moment I get to escape into another world and leave all my worries and stress behind.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because frankly I don't know who I'd be if I wasn't. I grew up in the church but that doesn't mean I never gained my testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a true church. I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and Savior throughout my life. I know they love and care for me. They have always been there for me. I have received my own testimony of the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. I love the spirit I feel as I follow the example of my Savior. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me great happiness and hope as I live each day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time and we all know that some days are harder than others. Prayer and scripture reading are very important to me. These are things that I do each day. I love being able to feel closer to my Heavenly Father as I talk to Him in prayer and then read His words in the scriptures. I have worked a lot with the youth ages 12-18 yrs old. I love being able to spend time with them and share with them my testimony of the gospel. I have also served with the young children and love to see their testimonies grow as they learn more about our Savior and the plan that our Heavenly Father has for us.
