Hi I'm Brittney

I'm a wife and mother. I love playing the piano, creating online scrapbooks, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My days consist of watching the Disney Channel, making block towers, and singing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider.” I absolutely love being a mom! I have one son who keeps me busy as he is a very active toddler and he is my little buddy. I am also married to one of the most patient men I know and I love him so much! We love being together as a family and I am always on the hunt for our next great family vacation. I love to travel because the memories created are simply priceless. I take way too many pictures of every event (vacations, holidays, or just random moments) but that is how I remember everything. I love online scrapbooking and use what free time I have to work on my books. I also have a passion for music and have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the feeling of having a “family” wherever I go. Whether it is a recent move or a vacation to another place, I love being able to walk into a church building and feel the love from people I have never met before. Our church teaches about eternal families which brings me constant peace. I know that we can be together with our families in the next life as long as we do our best continually in this life. It is one of the many promises our Father in Heaven gives us and I know that I will be with my family forever. Being a Mormon helps me in my everyday life. Not only has it helped me become a better wife, mother, daughter, and sister but the values that I have been taught at a very young age have shaped who I am personally. I have also developed the skills of leadership, public speaking, teaching, service and many more through my personal growth in the Mormon Church and the activities and assignments with which I have been involved.

How I live my faith

I love having a peaceful feeling within my home. I have found that the more patient and loving I am towards my family (especially as a mother), the better I feel, which sets a more uplifting tone in my home. As easy as this may sound in theory, it is a very difficult thing to maintain a positive attitude all the time. I know I need divine help and I know I receive it on a daily basis. I strive to pray to God every day both personally and with my family. I read the Lord’s words in the scriptures and in turn use those stories and lessons to teach my son all that I can. I am so grateful for the opportunity to stay home with my son every day and I do believe that my most important role right now is to be a mother and to teach my children the principles and values taught by our church. I also attend our church meetings every Sunday with my family to learn more about Jesus Christ and to serve others as I strive to improve myself so that I can ultimately return to live with my Father in Heaven.
