Hi I'm Jane

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a lover of all things beautiful, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married 42 years to a wonderful man. I have a degree in English, and my husband is president of an advertising agency. Our greatest joy comes from our nine children, their spouses, and 27 grandchildren. They all live close to us, and we love spending time with them. I love to read and travel. Recently I've been doing some genealogy, and I have found some interesting things about our ancestors. I have found that my husband and I both had ancestors that came over on the Mayflower and they lived next door to each other in Plymouth Colony!

Why I am a Mormon

Many of my ancestors joined the Mormon faith in New England, England Germany and Denmark in in the 1840's. Many left their country to join with the Saints in America and we have a choice pioneer heritage. My parents taught us by their wonderful example, and I have come to know for myself that real happiness comes from living the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is peace in knowing that we have a Father in Heaven who knows us, loves us, and has a plan for us. There is nothing more important to us than our faith and our family. I love reading the Bible and Book of Mormon. They testify of Christ and show us how we should live our lives. I have received countless answers and direction when I apply the principles in my life that are taught in the holy scriptures.

How I live my faith

We begin and end our day in family and personal prayer. With our large family, we have so much to be thankful for, and also much to petition heaven about! I love reading scriptures daily, which brings me great peace and gives me direction to my life. I have spent many years working in our church's youth groups, and have taught classes to the women and youth most of my married life. I now help in our women's organization, working with new members. I love to talk to them about their conversion to the church, and to feel their enthusiasm and their love for the Lord. I try each day to use the power of the Lord's atonement in my life.
