Hi I'm Jill

I'm a wife and a mother. I love nature. I love being with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho and attended Ricks College. I met my spouse there and we were married in the temple and moved to Washington. I am now a mother of four, two girls and two boys. How perfect is that? My family keeps me very busy but they fill my life full of joy and laughter. I love holidays and spending time with my family. I love playing games, going to the lake or the park, swimming, going on walks and bike rides. I also love camping, going to the beach, playing sports, reading books and taking pictures (mostly with the ones I love). I love decorating my house and making it feel like a home. I love music and anything to do with it. I love singing, playing the piano, and listening to music in its many forms. I love traveling anywhere and everywhere. I love to see all the beauty and creativity in the world around us and the variety of people that fill it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and have been a member all my life. I started by following my parents and what they believed and slowly found my own way and my own testimony started to grow. I always thought I needed some big moment to tell me the church was true but I truly didn't. My testimony has come to me through all my experiences I've had throughout my entire life. And my testimony has grown stronger over the years of my life. Each scripture I have read, each prayer I have prayed, every talk or testimony I have given or heard, every whispering of the spirit, every moment of peace, those are the things that have witnessed to me that this church is true. I have never doubted for one moment that this church is true. Instead I have always known it was true. As I learned one concept I would think about it and pray about it and I would just know in my heart it was true. I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for all He has done for me. For the example He has set for me to follow and for the sacrifices He gave for me. I am thankful for Joseph Smith and the hardships he endured to bring us the true church in the latter days. I am thankful for the Book of Mormon and the chance it gives me to read and search and find the teachings of my Savior and the testimonies of prophets long ago. I am so grateful to have the blessings of being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am thankful for the peace and joy that I constantly feel as a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sunday and I love listening and learning from the other members of my ward family. I am currently teaching a class of women in our ward. It is fun to be able to encourage sisters to share their testimonies and their own experiences in class so that we can learn and grow from each other. I also go visiting to three women my ward. We get together once a month during the week and share a gospel message and just visit about what is going on in our lives. These are great opportunities for me to share my testimony and learn from others.
