Hi I'm Kadi

I'm a typical female. I'm a Missionary. I'm a pianist. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I've grown up in Idaho most of my life living 45 minutes away from the mountains and 5 miles from the river. This gave us opportunities for fun camping trips and boating adventures in the summer and perfect skiing in the winter! I'm the second child of 6 and enjoy being a younger sister as well as an older sister and recently an aunt! My family is everything to me. Right now I am serving a mission and love the life as a missionary! This is my chance to dedicate all my time and energy to the Lord as I am out teaching the gospel full-time. Every day is an adventure! It's a roller coaster of emotions with extreme highs and some temporary lows. In all, it's all worth it as I see someone's life brighten as they come unto Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I remember asking myself what I truly believed and had a strong desire to gain my own opinion and belief when it came to religion. As I went to church, studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and spent time praying to know, I was able to get the answer I was looking for. I was waiting for some strong impression, feeling, or sign, but as I look back, it all happened so gradually. I was able to receive multiple answers which were quiet, powerful feelings. This was the spirit speaking to me. The Spirit's role is to testify of truth and as I put myself in situations or places where the spirit could talk to me, I was able to hear it and receive answers and guidance throughout my life. I'm a Mormon because I have received a specific answer from the spirit that this is true and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I have learned to love the Commandments! I have come to find that we are given guidelines for our protection. When they come from God, I know that there is purpose behind it. God knows all things and is trying to help us and if that is by giving us commandments, I am going to do it. God asks us to do things so he can bless us and it is all for our benefit in the long run. We just have to trust in him and know that there is reason to every commandment.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Nope! It's all up the individual. It's strongly encouraged for the guys between the age of 19-25 to go, but it is not mandatory. Girls can go at age 21 if they are not married and have the desire to go! It's an accelerated learning course and an amazing opportunity for them to gain a strong testimony as they teach and study the gospel. Show more Show less
