Hi I'm Leah

I work as a CNA/Med Tech in an Assisted Living. I work full time and go to school full time for nursing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have six siblings, four of which are married. I am the second to youngest. I have 12 nieces and nephews and counting. I often get ignored in my big family but I love them and they love me. I grew up in the mountains. I have spent countless hours and days and weeks camping, fishing, and hiking. I love being outside. Civilization is overrated. One summer I plan on setting up camp in the middle of some forest and hiding out for a couple weeks. I love reading, especially fantasy novels. I've tried writting books but I always lose interest halfway through. I also enjoy skiing in the winter when I have free time which is a rarity. I am pretty busy going to college full time trying to get into the nursing program and working full time at an Assisted Living as a CNA/Med Tech.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in this church. I went with my parents and siblings every Sunday. I have always known the church was true but when I became a teenager I decided that I didn't want to live off my parents faith. So I prayed and fasted and prayed and fasted some more. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through the first time. I kept trying to get a testimony and nothing ever happened. I always thought that I would recieve an amazing vision or some overwhelming feeling. I never did. But one day I was thinking about how I haven't recieved an answer. All of a sudden I realized that I already knew it was true. Thinking about the church I realized that I know that every part of it is true. I knew that my Heavenly Father loves me. I felt a sensation like warm arms around me. I could feel his love for me so strongly. There is not a single doubt in my mind. I know that I am His daughter and I am precious to him. He cares about every small detail in my life no matter how seemingly insignificant. I am a daughter of the Almighty God and everyone on this planet has that same relationship. Whoever is reading this, I don't know who you are. I don't know your name or your gender or your age but I do know one thing about you. You are a child of Heavenly Father and he loves you more than you could ever comprehend.

How I live my faith

No one is perfect and I am no exception. I make mistakes every day. But I try every day to do a little better. I'm not always successful but I believe I am progressing. I go to church every Sunday and stay the whole 3 hours. It is difficult because of my work schedule but I have never missed church except for in extreme illness. I am a visiting teacher and as such I have three women that I visit monthly and provide support and love to them. I also take a class twice a week for an hour at the institute next to my college. I study my scriptures and pray every night. I try to keep good influences in my life and get rid of bad influences.
