Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am honored to say I am the husband of a wonderful, loving and beautiful wife. I'm also privilaged to be the father of four amazing children whom I love dearly. My hobbies and interest revolve around my wife and kids. I take great pleasure in spending time with each of them, unfortunately, my work takes me away from them too often. When I do have the opportunity to be with them I cherish it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. Even as I was raised in the church and not really knowing much outside of my beliefs, there came a point in my life when I questioned whether it was true or not. When I was seventeen I thought I knew just about everything about life which led to me questioning my faith. Like almost all teenagers I was stubborn, I thought I could find all the answers for myself and I didn't need help from anyone. As I read the scriptures I never could quite grasp their meaning. I learned the stories but they seemed to be nothing more than just stories. As I reread the story about Enos I realized I had to do just as Enos did and kneel down before my maker and discuss it with him. God our father is the author of all truths he can not lie he will not lie. I recieved the answers I was looking for, it may not have been in the same way Enos recieved his answer, but I received mine. The scriptures are there to teach us and as we apply those teachings to our daily lives we can grasp the true meaning of the scriptures.

How I live my faith

I don't want anyone to think that I feel I am a perfect person. I have my daily struggles just like everyone else. Even with all my faults I know that God loves me. Because, He loves me, I know I can better myself to be the person He knows I can be. I know that he loves all of his children and desires for them all to know of him and the plan he has for them. I have had the opportunity to teach at church on many different occasions. Teaching the young children and the youth, has brought much joy into my life because I have been able to share with them the testimonies of prophets and apostles from the Bible, Book of Mormon and from modern times. I have also been able to share with them my testimony and how I came to have one. Being a member of the church is more than just being at church on Sundays. It's also about striving to live everyday by the same principles as we do on Sundays. Finding the time and opportunities to serve others brings much joy to my life along with to those I serve.
