Hi I'm Nicole!

I am an Arizona native. My husband of 5 years and I have two dogs, but no children... yet! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The outdoors is our greatest playground! Every chance I get, I love to swim in the river, fish, camp, hike, etc. When I was 9, I decided I wanted to be just like my best friend, so I learned to play the piano... and fell in love with it! I have 3 younger siblings and 2 older half-brothers that I am very close to. I have been married to my best friend for almost 5 years, and like any couple we've had our ups and our downs. We have two boxers, who we loving call our "kids." My greatest desire is to be a mom! My husband and I hope to someday adopt. =]

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of those people who was "born into the church." I was raised by the gospel of Christ by two righteous (yet not perfect!) parents. Like any teenager, I rebelled and fell away from what I knew to be right. Through the love and compassion of my church and youth leaders, and my family, I was able to forgive myself and become closer to my Savior. Shortly after getting married, I started going to church less and less and almost altogether quit doing the things I knew I should. In the last year, I have grown closer to my Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ. My testimony of prayer and the Atonement of Christ has grown SIGNIFICANTLY. I know Heavenly Father answers prayers. It may not come to us immediately or in ways we would like them to, but he always answers us. I have personally felt the peace that comes from knowing we are not alone in our trials. The Savior has felt it all so he can know how to help us in our times of need. I am trying every single day to more dilligently counsel with God so that I may know his will for me, and the changes I need to make to be closer to Him. The Savior lives. He knows us by name and knows the intentions of our hearts. He and the Father know how to love us the best and will never give us more than what we can handle. I was once told, "Sometimes God gives his very best students the hardest of tests." He knows how to help us... we are not alone in our struggles!

How I live my faith

I haven't always been the best in this department. More recently I have done my best to be a Christlike example to those around me and to look at the positive in every situation. I love to visit with people and help them whenever and however possible. Every day I long and look for ways to serve those around me to make them feel happier and closer to our loving Heavenly Father and Savior.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is something you know in your heart, by the power of the Holy Ghost, to be true. Often experiences and life trials will help to strengthen and solidify beliefs you have. I have a testimony that God and his son, Jesus Christ, lives, that they know us and love us. I know without a benefit of a doubt that we are not alone because I have personally felt that peace and reassurance through prayer, that a loving and gracious Heavenly Father is mindful of me. I know the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and will guide us to eternal salvation if we follow in His footsteps... because I have felt that divine spiritual witness personally. I know we have a living and righteous prophet today, because I also know God wouldn't leave us alone without guidance through this crazy world! He loves us. He lives. He wants us to go home to Him.
