Hi I'm Kent

I grew up in Mesa, AZ. I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in most sports and I am an engineer. I am a MORMON!

About Me

I am a 32 year old father of 2 children. I have a 9 yr old daughter and 5yr old son. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors. I ride quads, go camping, enjoy snowboarding, play base/softball and participate in many other types of activites. Also, I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelors in construction managment. Over the past few years I have travelled a lot with my career, which is difficult on the family, but I do whatever I can to make it work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon simply because I know the teaching of the church are true. I will never forget the first time I felt the spirit and recognized that it was in fact the spirit. I was approx. 15yrs old and sitting in sacrament meeting. Suddenly I felt peaceful warmth enter into the very core of being and I knew at that point that I was in right place and that the testimony that was being shared about the truthfulness of the gospel was true. I suppose that many would consider this my point of conversion and I do not necessarily disagree. However, I have come to believe that people can experience many different conversions. As we grow and develop as individuals we are constantly changing in one way or another. I have experienced many conversions, where I truly had a change of heart. Through these several conversions I have continued to progress and untimately become a better man, a better priesthood holder. I have not always been fully active in the church and it through my conversions that I have returned to the fold. It is through my conversions that I received a true desire to live worthy of our Heavenly Fathers Kingdom. I have also been blessed with the desire to have a family which is sealed together for time and eternity. I desire a celestial marriage and know that as I live the principles of the gospel that I will have that. These are promises that our Heavenly Father has made to each and every one of his children, each and every one of you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I am on the road a lot and so I do what I can, when I can. I try to read the bible and book of mormon daily. I do this to receive a portion of the spirit throughout my day. I also pray a lot. I have become quite good at praying on the go, since I am on the go all the time, but also make time to kneel and pray in the morning and night. I enjoy visiting with other members of the church and help them out whenever I can. I will never forget when I moved from house to another and how the men in my ward showed up to help my family move. I had helped people move many times, but had never been on the receiving end. It was a humbling experience, but only strengthened my belief in service.
