Hi I'm Loretta Jean Smith Broughton

I'm a Mormon. it was the best thing that happened to me!

About Me

I love life, I love sunshine, people who smile, who are happy, and I love every day that I am given! We can see everyday the hand of the Lord in our Lives and in everything we do. I enjoy doing family history, reading, family and keeping myself always into a project of some kind. I am married to a wonderful man, one of the biggest jokers there is and it keeps us all alert and laughing! I have two great children that mean the world to me and appreciate my Heavenly Father in giving me the trust and confidence needed. We are currently retired and enjoying our children, looking forward someday in having each of them sealed to a spouse and family within one of the temples here on earth. I was born to parents and grandparents who no one could ask for nor receive better - more loving - and more righteous examples of faith, love and service their entire lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its who I am and who I want to be. I am proud of my ancestors; their accomplishments and their sacrifices. They all joined in the days of Joseph Smith and came across the plains with Brigham Young and the Martin Handcart Company helping to bring up communities through out Utah and Arizona. It is a rich family of histories, stories, love, sacrifices, and dedication of true faith as they all helped to build the kingdom and re-build the kingdom, from city to city. The many stories and dealings with all the Church leaders as well as the leaderships of themselves is a true example of testimony. I am still a Mormon today because I love the Church. I love knowing that through the Atonement I can be with my family for and through eternity, and because of my testimony that I have had all of my life. Also because of the un-explainable joy that comes from being a member of the Church and living the commandments, it brings a daily abundance of peace, joy and harmony behind description, even among trials and troubles.

How I live my faith

Living Life each in order to have the guidance in my daily life and in raising my family. It is my greatest and deepest desire for life to live again with our Heavenly Father and Mother, and Savior's in their presence with my entire family. I live my faith by continuing to use the power of the atonement each day and night in order to accomplish our eternal goals. I love my Savior, I know that He Lives! My Savior Knows I know, and of the testimony I hold, and that the Holy Ghost confirms the truth of all things to all His children of all ages if they desire it, to all people of all kinds, and of all nationalities. We are all Children of our Father in Heaven, we are all brothers and sisters. Joseph Smith was truly a prophet and all things happened as he recorded them, the Book of Mormon is true. It does tell of a people of the America's through the prophet's living at that time, telling them where true security can be found. 'Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ." Ether 2:12 Today, our prophet President Monson, tells us of where true security can be found as well, just as the Book of Mormon does. . He also warns, loves, and inspires. The Lord loves and communicates to us today just as much as in the days of old.
