Hi I'm Richard

I grew up in Kansas, I am a classic car fanatic and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the farm lands of Kansas, just a few miles out side the great city of Big Bow. I have two brothers and three sisters. I was the youngest for thirteen years untill my sister was adopted. We kept busy harvesting wheat and corn, and raising cattle. The greatest thing that i enjoyed was working on cars with my dad and brothers. We would spend a lot of time together working on cars and talking about cars. We enjoyed making odd mud machines. Every year for our mud run at our county fair we would build something different to see if we could get through it, our classic "fix all" to any vehicle to get it through the mud was to weld some big tractor tires on it. It didn't always work, but at least it looked mean. our greatest joy would come when all of our ideas would come together and we would finish the mud machine and it actually worked. Almost every year at the mud run our creation would break one way or another. But it was always work the time spent together as a family working on it. Right now im not going to college but will be back at it in a couple of years. And look forward to going into something automotive.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of the happiness I have seen in my life so far from living its teaching. The most important thing to me is my family and the opportunity that I know that I have to live with them forever. Its the greatest feeling ever, it brings me a lot of happines to be with them and I know because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the restored Priesthood authority i am able to do that. Growing up in the church did not automaticly give me a testimony of the Savior or give me joy. Those things came after I decided to live the gospel as outlined by Jesus Christ. The most important thing that has given me the testimony that I have today is the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true i have read it and prayed about it and God has answered my prayer. The Book of Mormon gives me so much joy when I read it, I can have a question and once I open the Book of Mormon it always seems to answer my question and give me peace. Because of this it has also strengthed my testimony in Jesus Christ, I know he is my Savior and he loves me indivudaly and wants me to return to live with him and God again. I also know that God calls prophets today and that Joseph Smith was called by God to bring Christ's church back to the earth. It brings me great joy to live the Gospel everyday.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ said in the New Testiment "if you Love me, Keep my commandments." So to live my faith I strive to show my love for Christ and Heavenly Father and follow their commandments. One of the commandments that I strive ecespically to follow right now is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with my fellow brothers and sisters on the earth. I help people learn about Jesus Christ and his church and how it was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. And how God Loves all of his children and wants them to return to him. In my life as a feel the happiness the gospel gives me, I want to share it with everyone and have them have the same joy. so it is really rewarding to help someone have that joy and see the changes the gospel brings in their lives.
