Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a husband and father. I'm a Physics teacher and unicyclist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my High School sweetheart, the love of my life and I cherish each day with her.  We now have three wonderful children. I taught High School Physics for 9 years and enjoyed it immensely. I now work in Finance at the corporate headquarters of a retailer, which allows me to better meet the financial needs of my family. I enjoy mountain biking, volleyball, unicycling and the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know it to be Jesus Christ's church restored upon the earth. While other religions have many of the beautiful principles of Christ's doctrine, none have: 1-a Prophet and Apostles inspired of God, 2-all of the saving ordinances of the Gospel performed with the proper Priesthood Authority, 3-additional books of scripture and 4-the complete truths of Christ's original teachings. Through my personal careful study of the Bible and the Book of Mormon and most importantly a witness from the Spirit of God, I know these things to be true. I have seen the blessings of obedience to God's Laws as taught in the Church of Jesus Christ in my life and in the lives of my family.

How I live my faith

I am extremely involved with my local congregation. I have served in various capacities over the years ranging from a nursery worker (18-month to 3-year olds) to a primary teacher (for the 7-8 year olds) to a youth leader and scout master (for the 14-15 year olds) and a Priesthood Quorum President. Each of these opportunities to serve has challenged me and helped me to grow. I feel very blessed for my opportunities to serve with the wonderful members of Christ's church. I also strive to live the gospel of Jesus Christ in all of my interaction with others, whether they be neighbors, co-workers or just acquaintances.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Andrew
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship only God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. Joseph was an imperfect man, not a deity. We do, however, recognize Joseph Smith as an inspired Prophet of God called to lead and teach his people. Just as Moses was called to reveal God's commandments and lead the children of Isreal, Joseph Smith was called to reveal God's truth and lead the restoration of Christ's church. Show more Show less
