Hi I'm Valerie

I grew up in Utah and now live in Colorado. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 4 children and I stay at home with them right now. I enjoy running, hiking, biking and spending time with my family. I ran cross country in high school and in college. I received my bachelor's degree in 2002 in psychology and community health. I grew up in Utah and now live in Colorado.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents met at BYU and stayed in Utah county to raise their family. I was baptized when I was 8 years old and have always had faith in the gospel and our church's teachings. When I was in high school I attended seminary and I decided that even though I have always had faith in the church I really needed to know for myself that it was true. I studied the scriptures and prayed to know that the Book Of Mormon was true. One day while in seminary we read a verse that really appealed to me and I knew it was the Lord answering my prayer. Doctrine and Covenants 18:34 "These words are not of men, nor man, but of me; wherefore you shall testify they are of me and not of man." Since that day I have always had faith and known that the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best every day to follow the Lord's will. I do not drink alcohol or smoke or take drugs. I strive to live the commandments every day. By striving to live the commandments every day I hope to be an example to those around me. I serve in my ward as a primary teacher. I teach the 4 year olds in our ward about the gospel and Jesus Christ.
