Hi I'm Mat

I am a husband, a father of 3 boys, an electrical engineer, a sports enthusiast and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I would consider myself a very average person who loves my family and loves life. My fondest memories include being with my family just hanging around the house, coaching and watching my sons play all types of sports and great family vacations to Sun Valley Idaho, and San Carlos Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in a very loving family where I was taught the Gospel of the Jesus Christ from birth. I attended church as a child and felt that the things that I had been taught were true so I was baptized when I was 8 years old. However it was not until sometime during high school that I gained a testimony of the Savior and his Gospel. At the age of 19 I served a mission for 2 years where I was able to spend all of my energies studying the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching it to the wonderful people in England. Through the gospel I have come to know where I came from, why am I on this earth, and what I need to do to be able to return to my Father in Heaven. I have come to know that my Heavenly Father knows me personally and is always there to bless me and my family. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints helps me be a better person, husband and father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every hour of the day to the best of my abilities. I try to follow the Savior's teachinng of treating everyone with kindness and respect. I currently teach a sunday school class of 15 and 16 year olds which is a great experience. We are studying the New Testiment this year and I am enjoying reading about the Savior and his Gospel and discussing it with a great group of youth.
