Hi I'm Jarrod

I currently live in Arizona with 31 years behind me. I love my little family of four, the outdoors and the gospel of Jesus Crist.

About Me

I was born in crowded California, grew up in wide open Montana & now love the happy median that is Arizona. My love is my family & the outdoors, my business is real estate. My faith is in my savior Jesus Christ. Welcome to my profile. As a child I was shy, quiet & preferred to spend my time alone analyzing, tinkering or painting & drawing. Somewhere along the way I became a very social person who loves meeting new people. As I recall this wasn’t a gradual process but pretty much happened over night. I have to laugh at myself sometimes; just last night I went down the street to the gas station to put some air in my tire, there was a man in process of doing the same when I pulled up. Apposed to sitting in my car & waiting my turn I got out & by the time he was done we knew much about each other. Though my social inclinations have changed, I have retained the analytical nature from my childhood. I spend my professional time as a real estate appraiser, sales person and investor. As an appraiser it’s my job to find out “why”. The curious & analytical part of me thrives on that while the outgoing side loves the interaction of the sales portion of my career. Though I do enjoy my job it's only the means to an end. My love is my family. Jobs, bosses and clients change but in the end I only work for my family. If it weren’t for them, I can’t see much else having any importance. I am trying to be the best provider that I can be while keeping that delicate balance in line.

Why I am a Mormon

In my life I have found that the regular attendance of a close nit church group helps with the understanding that we’re all fighting many of the same issues. I value greatly the blessing in my life of knowing that I have available to me many people that have the same goals and struggles. People from all sorts of backgrounds and with a variety of interests and talents but whom genuinely want to be the best version of themselves that they can be. I was born into a mormon family but throughout my life many of my friends have not been of the same faith and much of my extended family members are not either. As a child I never put much thought to the matter. It was not until my two year mission for the church at the age of 19 that my perspective was dramatically expanded. One thing that I know to be true is that there are good people in every religion and walk of life. I have also found the opposite to be true. A title or a classification can not be used to identify a persons character; A persons actions identify their character. I have attended a variety of church services over the years with friends and family and have great love and admiration for members of all of them. I have chosen to stay with the religion of my childhood for many reasons. I believe it to be the true and complete restored gospel of Jesus Christ. For myself, this belief, if built entirely on a logical conclusion would not have the strength to endure life's challenging times. I have had personal answers to prayer and have experienced things that are personal and sacred to me that have led me to my conclusions in regards to faith in my savior Jesus Christ and his eternal and glorious gospel. I know that every person on this earth is a child of God. I know that God loves all of his children equally and perfectly. I know that he loves and is aware of me as an individual. I also know that his love is constant to every man women and child throughout the world.

How I live my faith

I try my very best to do and be better every day then I did or was the day before. I confess that I often fail at this attempt and though I get discouraged I know that you never truly fail until you stop trying. I think, ponder, pray, study in private and often council with people who are already were I want to be. By this I feel that I am using the tools made available to me to succeed and I know that we were created to succeed at every worthy pursuit.
