Hi I'm Laura

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom. I have 3 beautiful energetic boys. I have the great blessing of being home with my boys during the day but still have the opportunity to do part time work in the evenings and at home as my own boss. I try to workout daily. I call it my natural drug. It helps me to feel happy, positive and healthy. I love being outdoors, traveling and finding new places to eat. I thrive on spending time with my girlfriends because it reminds me that I'm more than a mom and a wife.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church shortly after they were married. I was born and raised in the mormon church. Being a member of the church brings me so much joy and happiness when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have had times in my life when I haven't followed the commandments and felt the lonely sorrow that comes but because of the gospel I knew that I could repent and that the Savior had atoned for my sins and I could be forgiven. I know that when I pray, my prayer is heard. I feel comfort from the spirit when I need it and love how the gospel gives me opportunities to serve and better myself. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ church.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things that I get to do in the church is visit a few sisters on a monthly basis to see how they are doing. I share a spiritual message and find out if there's anything I can help them with. It's a wonderful way for me to get to know other woman from church and help them to feel loved and cared about. It's a nice break from always thinking about myself, what I need and focus on someone else and what they might need. I've also had the opportunity to do things in the church that I did not feel qualified to do at all. I was called to be the choir director for the church choir and had not had any experience with choirs in my life. But I had the faith that with Heavenly Father's help that I would be able to learn, grow, and become better as I fulfilled my calling. The spirit that I felt as the choir would sing these beautiful arrangements of the hymns bore testimony to me that Christ lives, he knows me, and he loves me. I'm so grateful for church callings.
