Hi I'm Ron

I am a husband, father, grandfather, ham radio operator and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired from the airline industry, having worked in the development of computer systems. Severed a mission for the church in Denmark. My wife and I have traveled much of the world. Most of my time now is being involved in church service and activities as well as serving with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service. I love doing things with our blended family. After the death of our oldest son, we value the time with our remaining 4 sons and 1 daughter and our grandchildren. Associating with my church family brings me happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon in a small Mormon community. I have however learned for myself that following Jesus Christ and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ gives me peace, purpose and direction in life. Having experienced a divorce in my life, the support of church friends, leaders and my understanding of the purpose of life sustained me. I have now been married to a wonderful wife over 28 years. My knowledge of where I came from, why I am here and where I am going continues today to bring hope, peace, direction and happiness into my life. Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

Being over 70 years old, I have had wonderful opportunities to serve others through many different church callings. Serving together with others, serving others and being served in the church has given me a better understanding of life and much joy. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we have a lay ministry giving all the opportunity to serve. Today I follow Jesus Christ through prayer, study of the scriptures and serving my fellow brothers and sisters. The example of Jesus Christ's service and my experiences helps me better love, teach and serve my children and grandchildren. While serving in the church and with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service I am able to help lift other's burdens. Life is good! Knowing where I came from, why I am here and where I am going brings me peace and hope for the future.
