Hi I'm Shanon

I am a wife, a mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home, mother of 3 fun kiddos. My husband is in school full time getting his masters. We love having our Sundays with him because Sunday is our family day where we go to church and do things together, no studying or homework is our rule!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church to two parents who devoted their lives to God, each other and their family. I am so grateful for their examples of how to live a happy life and how to stay close to the Lord. Because of my parents example, I have made the choice to go to church and live its teachings. Through the ups and downs of life, I have learned for myself the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that I have a Savior who died for me so that I can return to live with him. I know that everything happens for a reason and that he knows and loves me. He is waiting for me and receives me with open arms whenever I come to him. I know that I can have an eternal family. I can always be married to my best friend and always have my children even after we die. I know that because of Jesus Christ, I will be able to be with my Mom who has passed away and we will be together forever. I am so grateful for this knowledge and it is such a peace and comfort to me. It has gotten me through her death and continues to help me. I know this is the true church. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything that I do. It is my rock and the foundation that we are raising our family. When I wake up, I pray on my own and together with my family and read my scriptures. This helps me to have the Holy Ghost with me and helps me to focus on things that matter and not worldly things. It helps me make correct choices through out my day. Currently I serve with the young women in the church ages 12-18. We have class together on Sundays and we get together weekly for an activity where we learn different skills and serve others.
