Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in New York. I'm a Mechanical Engineer. I am a happy husband to a wonderful wife and the father of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ben. I grew up in upstate New York as part of a family of 6 kids and two wonderful parents. After graduating from high school and junior college, I lived in Xian, China for 6 months, teaching English to kids at an elementary school. I am happily married and enjoy spending time with my four kids (including one set of twins). I am a mechanical engineer and am currently pursuing a PhD degree. I enjoy the outdoors, especially when I am with my family. I have Muscular Dystrophy, but refuse to allow that to limit me. Some of my favorite places are the beach, Yellowstone national park, the Adirondack mountains, and Guilin, China.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I have a strong conviction in the atonement and resurrection of our Savior and hope that I can follow his example daily. The teachings of the Savior and his chosen ancient and modern day prophets provides the basis for my hope. I know I am part of an eternal plan and hope that, according to my faithfulness, I can continue to live with my family after this life and forever. I can't imagine an eternity without them. I am a Mormon because I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoy serving others. I am a Mormon because the gospel gives me hope in a world that is often confusing and appears unforgiving and unfair.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending a local ward and teaching the gospel whenever I can. I try to listen to inspiration from Heavenly Father that guides me in all I do and say. I live the gospel by doing my best to raise a family that believes in Jesus Christ, his mission, and his teachings.
