Hi I'm Jim

I am a grandpa who loves computer games. My favorite is WOW. I have been a Boy Scout leader for most of 30 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobby is games. I mostly like game that require strategy. Card game, board games, and especially computer games. Some may think it odd that I like World of Warcraft at my age. I am a granpa of 4 and dad of 4. My hobby allows me to both get away mentaly when needed but I am always at home to tend to the needs of my expanding family. I have been involved with Boy Scouts of America since I was a cub scout. I have been an adult leader is various assignments for nearly 30 years. My current love is attending a week long scout camp and being the cook for our troop that varies from 10-15 boys. I also love roller coaster riding. I am the sterio-typical grand pa. big belly, grey hair(short but not balding), reading glasses that rest on the top of my head when not in use, spoil the grand kids when they are in trouble, jungle gym on the couch kinda guy.

Why I am a Mormon

I may be the text book defination of a Mormon. My mom has Mormon ancestors that joined the church during the Joseph Smith early years and migrated to Salt Lake with the first pioneer companies. I have polygimist ancestors that were often reassigned to move to various areas in the west. My dad is a convert with no other members of his family of our faith. I was raised in the church and thus followed the path. Primary from 3years old to 11, Baptised at 8, arronic priesthood at 12 and ordained a deacon, ordained a teacher at 14, ordained a priest at 16, attended Ricks college(now BYU Idaho). went on a mission at age 19 to georgia, returned home to attend BYU, Married with in the first year to my sweetheart in the Mesa temple. Married to the same sweetheart for almost 30 years now. Probably have never missed a sunday meeting more the 2 weeks in a row. Guesss what. I am not perfect. My conversion to Jesus Christ came at an early age. I have always felt him in my life. Since I know Christ, I can know and Feel truth. Truth feels like Christ to me. I have had much exposure to other faiths, ideas, and been confronted by those seeking to discredit my beliefs. I have heard often the still small voice speaking truth to my soul: often enough to know of what I believe. I can testify of the living, resurected Christ. The proof is burned into my spirit.

How I live my faith

Some are asked to lead. Others are asked to follow. Me, I am the latter. Behind the scene and avoiding the limelight. Never a scout master but always there to support him. I love to teach, both the youth and the new converts. Talents come in many forms and I have found one of mine is the ability to explaine and teach important Christlike attributes in a way that is easy to understand. I picture myself a follower of Christ. My words, my deeds, my actions, my temperment, my dress and grooming will make me easy to spot from stranger that I am a christen beliver.
