Hi I'm Lynnette

I'm happily married. I have 3 fabulous children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother. I volunteer at school and church. I like to paint and decorate my house. I take too many digital photos of my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and baptized when I was eight years old. I choose to stay a member of the church because I feel peace and a witness that this is Christ's true church. I read the scriptures and know they are true. I feel God's love for me and know this is where I should be. The restored gospel and priesthood blessings guide me through life's tough decisions. I am happy knowing that my covenants with my Heavenly Father will help me return to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I volunteer with all kinds of different activities at my children's schools and my church. Mostly with children or teenagers. I've taught Sunday lessons, early morning study of the scriptures, after school activities for girls, den leader for my sons Cub Scouts, and organized groups to work at the local food bank. We participate in lots of service for community groups like cleaning up a park, or helping with an eagle scout project or helping a new family move-in or bringing in meals when a family is in need. Our congregation is like a family and we help each other as well as others in our community.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

People have always searched to understand their existance and purpose in life. The gospel of Jesus Christ offers these answers very simply. Everyone on earth is a child of God. We each have a divine purpose. We interact with one another to learn and grow. We should love and serve and help each other the best we can. Jesus is the perfect example of compassion and sacrifice. We believe in helping others, as we are all God's children. Our church gives us the scriptures from the past, the example and teachings of a living prophet and other authorities and leaders, and programs and activities to keep us actively engaged in becoming the best we can be individually as well as reaching out to others.
