Hi I'm Nikki

I have traveled across the U.S 3 times, I want to see the world. I am a mom, a wife and a bagpiper! I am a Mormon!!!

About Me

I am a wife, and a stay at home mom to 3 kids! I love traveling and have been all over the United States! I hope to go all over the world one day!! I enjoy being outside, running, music, and being with people! I am learning to play the bagpipes, and believe it is never too late for anything!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becuase it's what brings peace and joy to my life. I was raised a member of the church, but never knew for myself if what I had been taught was real. Right after High School I left for Alaska for the summer where I saw and learned about new things and people. After this I came home, and then shortly after moved out to Long Island NY to be a nanny. I was used to being on my own, but was having a hard time feeling comfortable and happy. It was at this time that I had a strong desire to know that what I had been taught was true and, I also needed to know that I had a Father in Heaven that was aware of me and my hardships. I decided to start praying regularly, and to read through the Book of Mormon for the first time! It took me awhile, but as I did this I began to feel and know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father were very aware of me, knew me, and loved me. I gained answers to questions and help with hard decisions. I gained a strong testimony that the Book of Mormon was and is another witness of Christ and also that I was loved, and am a Child of God. I often reflect back on this time in my life and am so grateful that I had the desire and the answers! It changed my life!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something that I do everyday! I constantly think of my Savior and ask myself the simple question, "What would He do?" I use prayer all the time throughout my day. Being a mom and a wife can be really hard, and I heavily rely on the reltionship with my Heavenly Father to help me with this. I also get to work with the youth. We meet every Wed, night and do fun activites together or a service. I really enjoy this. We have a class every Sunday where I get to teach, and meet with the young women (that's what we call the younger youth girls). I think they teach me a lot too!! I get to visit with a few other women in the church, and just find out how they are doing. I try to help them with thier needs, and I always gain wonderful friends through this expereince. As a family we read from the Book of Mormon everyday and have family prayer every morning and night. I want my children to know that they are so loved by Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father! I also believe that it's important that they know that they too can pray and receive answers for themselves. I live my faith in all that I do. It is more than my religion. It is my life, it is my culture, it is what makes me who I am.
