Hi I'm Tim

I'm a husband and father. I'm a convert to this church. I'm a law student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life! There are few things I do not enjoy. I love music. I love playing instruments and singing. I love sports: basketball, football, soccer and wrestling. I love learning...pretty much anything. I am currently in law school and enjoy the opportunities for learning and service I gain from that. I am a husband and a father. I have two boys and a little girl. I love the purpose and motivation they bring into my life. I love the lessons I learn from my family; lessons of selflessness, patience and love. I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I joined the Church while in college about nine years ago and have loved the incredible amount of growth I have experienced since that time. The doctrine and organization of the Church are given by God through revelation and have provided me with the most powerful tools and principles to become my best self. My love for life is grounded in my testimony in Jesus Christ. He is my hope. He is my Savior. I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

On many occasions I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me the truthfulness and reality of the Restoration. When I first read the Book of Mormon I vividly remember the first time I read 2 Nephi 33. If you have a copy of the Book of Mormon please read it (if you don't please get one). When I read this chapter I realized I needed to know if it was true. I did know that it was true at that time. I only felt the importance of really knowing. I had read casually up to that point, but from then on I read with a sincere heart and real intent (see Moroni 10: 3-5; the last chapter of the Book of Mormon). While reading I found answers to questions I had wondered about throughout my life. I understood with greater depth the Atonement of Jesus Christ--what the Savior had done and how I could apply it into my life. I felt the Spirit teach me in profound ways about the love my Savior had for me, and I felt greater love for Him than I had ever before experienced. I can feel that love and Spirit now as I write this message. I had heard throughout my life that Jesus Christ died for me. I had truly sought in my youth to know what that meant. The Restored Gospel has deepened that understanding and that is at the heart of why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to love others and inviting them to come unto Christ. Teaching has been a significant part of my church service. I have taught 9-year-old youth, teenaged boys, adults, and missionaries beginning their missions. I spent two years as a full time missionary, telling people about Jesus Christ and the Message of the Restoration. I love the organization of the Church because of the opportunities it provides to be involved and truly live my faith.
