Hi I'm Tori

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in D.C. and work in public relations. I dream of traveling Europe in the near future. I love escaping into books, relishing nature's beauty, and getting lost in conversation.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, surrounded by people of similar beliefs. When I went away to college, however, I entered an environment where I was often the only person of my faith. It was exciting to be around people with different background and viewpoints, however It saddened me when I realized that many of my friends didn't know that they were children of God. That is when I began to establish my own testimony, and cling to it. I am Mormon because I have come to know the truth of the gospel, and I cannot deny it. I have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for me. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for my sins and to lead by example. The way has been laid before me, and through following the commandments, I can return to my Heavenly Father and be with my family eternally. There is nothing I want more than that.

How I live my faith

I go to church and institute (Bible study) each week, try my best to visit teach each month, and assist in church activities as part of my calling. But the most important part of living my faith is my effort to draw closer to Heavenly Father daily. I pray for strength and guidance, ask to bless those around me, and thank God for the countless blessings I've been given. I study my scriptures in an effort to learn more about Jesus Christ and how I can become more like him. Most of all, I try show those around me the same love that God has for them.
