Hi I'm Susan

Every day I live my ordinary happily ever after. I married my prince charming and have three adorable children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a middle child of five. I have two amazing parents and a great friendship with all my brothers and sisters. I have a bachelors degree in business management and I worked for several companies running their financial affairs for many years. I married an amazing man who is very supportive. Currently I have the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mother to my three precious children. I love translating baby talk, giving the "magical" kiss that gets rid of all owies, and giving cuddles. My family is my greatest treasure. When I have spare time, I love to digitally design and digitally scrapbook. I enjoy sewing, crochet, quilting, and wouldn't mind trying tatting. I love to cook new things especially when they turn out tasting great! I love to read and enjoy getting lost in the stories.

Why I am a Mormon

I had wonderful parents who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They were good examples to me of how to live what you believed in. Living my religion and abiding by its standards has made me happy. I am a better person inside by knowing that I am a daughter of God and that I have His guidance and love in my life. I have read the Book of Mormon and have learned for myself that this book is true. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and goes hand in hand with the Old and New Testaments. I have felt the Spirit testify to me several times throughout my life that this church is true. I find that my religion is my lighthouse in the storm helping to bring peace and joy during times of stress and hardship. Being a member of this Church has shaped me to be the person that I am today, and will continue to be my hope for who I can and will be throughout my tomorrows.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to visit with other women in our church. We get to discuss our lives, the lives of our children, and the importance of the gospel in our lives. I get to serve them during their times of need and find friendships grow through my service to them. I recently had the opportunity to help women quilt baby blankets and queen size blankets for those in need. I was a part of the effort that put together over thousands of baby quilts and hundreds of queen size quilts each year. These quilts went to help families in our community with babies in the NICU at the hospital. We also sent many of these blankets worldwide to help comfort those who have had disaster in their community or to orphanages without the funds for their own blankets. I serve the children in our church as the chorister. I get to teach songs with gospel messages to the youth. For two special hours each Sunday I teach different age groups of children. I get to see their joy and enthusiasm for the gospel as the children share their testimony through song. All of them (under the age of twelve) have such a close relationship with our Heavenly Father. Their insights and knowledge teach me so much of what I have forgotten. By trying to live with such childlike faith, love, kindness, forgiveness, and easy to find joy I have been taught that it is the small and simple things in life that create a happily ever after.
