Hi I'm Chad M. Packard

I was born in Oregon, raised in Idaho, am a CEO of a small business in Texas, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have 6 children and 14 grandchildren. I enjoy a variety of activities both sports and cultural events. I am somewhat of a runner participating in various distance running events, including a few half-marathons and a full marathon a number of years ago. I love the outdoors and thoroughly enjoy the challenges of camping and dealing with natures elements, even in Texas. I enjoy music and have been blessed with a talent to sing. Since my early teens I have sung in various theatrical events as well as choral and jazz groups. My parents raised and taught me to appreciate various forms of music. I am very grateful for their insistence over the years. My wife Bethany and I just recently returned from serving a 23-month mission for the church in Moscow, Russia. What a surprise it was to receive a call to serve. I left my business in Texas for this period of time to serve the Lord. Now that I am back home in Texas I operate and manage a small business as its CEO. We have orthodontic offices in Texas and we facilitate business operations so that our doctors and their staffs can provide quality care to their patients, with offices all over the Dallas and Fort Worth part of the state. It keeps us quite busy. The Lord enabled our business to be successful enough that I was able to step away for a period of time and allow the business to continue to perform well.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been active in the Church all of my life and have Mormon pioneer roots that date back to 1832. Having been raised in the Church has been such a blessing in my life and I thank the Lord each day for it. As an adult I now can see the wisdom of teaching children properly to be good citizens in their communities and healthy adults. The gospel of Jesus Christ is an integral part of that process.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the gospel and its principles each and every day of my life.

What is being a Mormon like?

Chad M. Packard
I think it is great! It has given me a "standard" to live up to and strive to be better as I have grown and matured. I falter now and again and definitely have my challenges and problems, after all, I'm as human and frail as the next guy. But, I have found in my life that I am happier when I'm keeping God's commandments and trying to serve my fellow man. As I am obedient to God, He blesses my life which allows me to continue to be obedient and further my progression to live more and more like He wants me to live. Being a Mormon and living my religion has helped me to understand the Lord. I try to live my life in accordance to His will even when no one else is around. Being a member of the Lord's Church is not always easy but it encourages me to live so that I can live eternally with Him at some future day. Show more Show less
