Hi I'm Roger

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm retired from the military and now work for the department of defense as a computer engineer.  I'm been married to my high school girlfriend for almost 30 years, and we have two wonderful daughters, one an RN, and the other following in dad's foot steps in the military. I'm a science and movie junkie, love swimming, racquetball, and time with my grandson.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm adopted and wasn't raised in a religious household. For 26 years I was profoundly agnostic in my beliefs. When my wife and I were expecting our first child, we decided that we wanted a positive family foundation to raise our children within. My wife was born and raised in the Mormon church, we visited many different denominations and faiths, looking for the one that fit us, and felt right, but always seemed to drift back to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was an investigator for over 7 years before becoming a member. While I still have issues with faith, I am sure that this is the correct choice for me. That this is the true church, and I look forward to being sealed to my wife in the temple in the near future.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are empty nesters now, and have been actively involved in weekly family home evenings with other empty nesters.
