Hi I'm Amy

I have an amazing husband and two adorable daughters. I love learning. I love dancing. I love life....and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to an amazing husband for over 7 years, and we have two little girls (ages 5 and 2). They bring me such joy and amazement. They help me strive to be a better person each and every day. I recently earned my Associate of Arts Degree from my local community college and was awarded the President's Medal for maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Eventually I want to earn my bachelors degree, but for now I love staying home and raising my girls. Aside from my family, something that makes me the happiest is dancing. Growing up I was shy and suffered from low self-esteem. Dance unlocked something in me. It gave me a way to express myself and feel in control. I did a lot of Jazz, Hip Hop, and Drill in the past. Now I do a lot of Zumba (I teach, as well as take classes). I love staying active, learning, doing crafts, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but have definitely developed my own testimony throughout my life. I have seen Heavenly Father's hand in so many of my past experiences. I know that he is always there for us, even when hard trials come. I've learned that often times trials end up being blessings in the end. I know that when we put our trust in him, things will be alright. Sometimes it takes a while, but if we stay faithful, things will work out. I love how the gospel lays out a straight path for me to follow. While its not always easy, it truly makes life easier and happier. The gospel shows me my purpose and helps me strive to be the best I can be. I'm a mormon because it brings me true happiness and direction.

How I live my faith

In my ward I am currently the Nursery Leader, which means I get to play with and teach children from 18 months-3 years old. I am always amazed at how intelligent and loving children are at such a young age. I feel blessed to be a part of their lives. I am also a visiting teacher. This is great because I have a few ladies in my ward that I get to visit every month. It is great to build relationships and get to know sisters who I may not have had the opportunity to otherwise. In the past I have also taught Zumba at my church building. It was fun bringing something I love to do and sharing it with others.
