Hi I'm Chad Mickelson

I grew up in Northern Arizona. I have three kids, a wonderful wife of 14yrs, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Arizona and love the Mountains! I love to be with my family outside/outdoors. It can be sports, hiking, water sports, or snow, just as long as its outside. We love to support our local sports teams, from high school to the Pros, we make it a family event. Also enjoy supporting our kids in all sports, from football to soccer to baseball/sofball to basketball. We love game nights, enjoy having company over for games, movies, or going out to try new restaurants. We like to stay very active and enjoy life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I definately havn't been a strong member my whole life but I grew up with great role models and am greatful everyday for parents that saw me through the thick and thin of early life. I served a mission in Detroit Michigan for two years. The feelings, experiences, and life changing events I had in Michigan have forever changed and made me who I am. I felt the Lords hand slowly molding and changing me into someone better. Witnessing the sacrifice of our savior take hold of people hearts and lives was humbling and inspiring. I am definatly working to know Him better everyday but I know he Lives. I know he loves me and cares what I think and is aware of my needs and wants. I feel grateful to have a father that has granted me mercy, while I repent and try to find his will. I Love Him and His Son. I know he has established his church on earth for us, to help all of us to return to him. I am thankful for the scriptures, I often refer to these as the playbook of life. I have often found comfort and answers to prayer through the scriptures. I am forever thankful for Joseph Smith and the courage he had to "ask." I know that through him he restored all the keys of his orginal church. I Love it.

How I live my faith

I am very active in the Boy Scouts of America. The church is the largest sponsor of the Boy Scouts in the World. For the past 12yrs I have had callings with the youth and have loved every minute. They are our future and I hope I can help mold them toward making good decisions, and being a positive impact in our society.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Chad Mickelson
Absolutely not---The Savior didn't help only members of the church and set the example for the rest of us. We are all on a quest back home, we won't make it alone or without others help. Serving others provides blessings for all involved. I believe serving and helping others helps mold us into willing servants of our Father. Show more Show less
