Hi I'm Jacque

I grew up in Arizona and New Mexico. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a middle school teacher. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a mother, grandmother and teacher. I live in a rural community in Arizona. I was born in Arizona but have lived in other places out here in the West. I enjoy being with my family. I have four children and nine grandchildren. I am fortunate that my children and grandchildren live close enough I see them often. I have taught middle school age children for 21 years and I love it. I am active in my church, school and community. My husband is self employed and I help him with his business. I love to travel, read and go camping. I enjoy watching sports, snow skiing and being outdoors. I am 54 and I love being 54. I am liking this point in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I am a Mormon because it is who I am. I love the direction the church brings to my life. My being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ has been the guiding force in the decisions I have made throughout my life. Living the gospel has been easy for me. I have a strong sense of right and wrong and that has helped to keep me on the path back to live with my Heavenly Father. This does not mean I have not made mistakes but it has always led me back to where I need to be. The church brings me great comfort and peace as the trials of life have come. I have a very simple testimony of this church. Through the experiences of my life I have felt the love and peace of a Heavenly Father who loves me personally. He knows who I am. There aren't very many days that go by where I do not recognize the Lord's hand in what happens. I am thankful and know that we have a living prophet on the earth today who receives direct revelation from our Savior. I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

I have always been an active member of the church. I have served in many different positions throughout my life. I have worked with young children, teenagers and am currently working with the women in my ward. I have been a teacher of these groups, I have been in charge of planning activities for these groups also. My husband and I recently were in charge of committee to serve 800 leaders and youth at a dance festival held in our community. It was a huge undertaking but was very rewarding and turned out well. I live in a small community where we go to church together, attend sporting events and see each other at the store, post office and at school. It is important to me to try to be an example for good. I want people to know I am the same out in the community as well as at church.
